Thoughts on this for a 24x24x21 display, hoping for some acropora. Will this be enough? Too much?

Edit: guess y’all need to know what I’m talking about. https://a.co/d/diacEbL

How’s the favia this morning Luis?
Same, maybe this weekend I'll rent or pay someone to come with a par meter, I'm not very happy with the flow of the tank either although everything else is doing great

I think 2641 gph is too much for the dimensions, although the flow is never too much lol, but if I were to put a single powerhead I would prefer something like this

hygger Aquarium Wave Maker, Adjustable Cross Flow Pump with LED Display Controller, Magnetic DC 24V Aquarium Powerhead for Freshwater and Marine Reef Aquariums Up to 135 Gallon (18w) https://a.co/d/54S6Pmf

Interesting, thanks! I was looking at that one because the suggested thing by Waterbox for their 60.2( which is a little smaller at 24x 20) is the Nero 5.

I’ll look into the one you shared :)

Another option would be to lower the size and gph a bit and put 2, for example instead of putting a nero 5 I would put 2 nero 3, I have 2 in my tank and I had them installed in the Biocube 32 before, I love those powerheads, in this tank I use them mostly to support ( at 50% ) the others I have but those would run this tank super well and the tank is 36x20x22

Almost always 2 is better than 1 lol, you could put them on opposite sides of the tank or on the back wall, but let's wait and see what others think, don't just go by my opinion lol @tbrown @JoJosReef @00W

Good link Bev!
Those can be pretty strong, even on the first setting.
Jebao is all I use.
I've had mine so long I don't know what the updated Jebao numbers might be but the sow 4 and ow4, or the 10 series have a lot of flow, good for a smaller tank too.
I tried to run the sow 10 in my 20 gallon, which is 24x12 I believe and it was way too strong, even on the first setting.
Just a thought....

+1 for 2. I like 3 if you can fit them. I'm running 2 Gyres and a regular powerhead in my 70 (36" x 21") and getting ready to go with a third gyre instead of the powerhead. Random flow is almost always better than straight (I think they call it lateral or laminal flow?). Two powerheads "fight" each other's flow causing more randomness which makes SPS and LPS happy.

I love the idea. I've used 1" poly quite a bit. Sadly I just bought a bunch of 2" PVC to make the "pod highway" from my refugium to my DT. Not completely converted yet I guess.
I have a lot of respect for good looking, well done pvc piping.
Colors don't matter much but kudos if you can do it well.
But the vinyl is so easy.
Switching out pumps, boxes, whatever just lift it out, etc.
Plus no head loss with every elbow, T-whatever. Let's me run a much smaller pump, less noise, heat and more room in the sump.
Not for everyone but I've found it preferable for me.
I used to run a little giant 1hp pump.
OMG that thing was loud.
I have an eheim as my emergency back up and I can hear it across the street.
That pvc picks up a lot of that sound, too.

I run 4 in my 100.
2 ow 40, 2 ow 10.
Both 40 are on opposite ends, fighting each other and the 10's point to the ground.

Ok everyone.
Do you notice the size difference here?

This little coral beauty has been terrorizing the trigger for the past 2 days!
It's the funniest thing I've ever seen.
You'd think the big guy would just run him off but no, he runs and hides himself.

@LadyMac for a 24", I think a pair of Nero 3-like jebaos would give nice turbulent flow for SPS. You can also go with the opposing pair of gyres. Is the return nozzle in the center point to the sides of the tank or coming out of one side pointing to the other side?

The overflow sits in the back center, the returns come out the side of that, but have the elbows so I guess it’s still side flow? Let me hunt photos and see if I can find one lol.

Here we go, when it was setup way back when lol.

These were the current USA 1080? And one 660 in the back. But I felt it wasn’t right of that makes sense.

I would probably put RFGs on those with a slightly overpowered return, which would cover most of the flow in that tank. One Jebao for suppemental flow. I'd make it a gyre if I needed more movement in the corners. That's if it were me, but flow is always a challenge. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So the reef wave looking ones?
