Hey these are super nice. Congrats. In a few months you are going to have double that. These are a little different than sps but it doesn’t matter. They are super cool. Frag and sell some for cheap. My LFS sells these for $25 a small frag.

Seems we like to do a lot of budget or spending shaming here these days :(

Never the less it could help with identification if you could take photos in a more natural light or use a filter. Sometimes even an additional shot or two with numbers or letters for reference. That way we can say coral A is a pink birds nest or B is an acropora, or similar.

If you lived near me would have given you 3 huge colonies 2 birds and 1 stylo. Basketball size. I gave them away to one of my LFS friends so I could start over with new frags. Buy what you want if it makes you happy and looks good in your tank. Ignore some of the negative comments.

Thanks everyone. Gotta be honest, that was the first time I ran into people who felt the need to tear someone else down since I've been on this platform. I'm way too old to let insecurity in others bother me. Thank you (almost) all for the kind words and support. I'll post some good pics here tomorrow. Pretty sure 2 of them are some kind of birdsnest but the other is completely different. I'll work on my macro skills. Thanks again!

It is an Acropora. The large lighter color polyp at the end of each tip is the terminal polyp. That is where the axil growth occurs

The acro looks like Ora scrips it’s a very hardy and fast grower. Great for someone dipping their toe in sps. https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/ora-scripps-acropora.100028/

I’m definitely no expert, but it looks similar to one I have. It was sold to me as a frag of yellow tip, but I’ve long since decided that was inaccurate. It is fast growing in my tank but I like it. My yellow belly blue hippo likes to sleep within it, and is constantly breaking off big branches.
Congrats on the purchases!

i think people have an opinion more because you bought something you don't even know what it actually is. I dont buy a chinchilla because it was the cheapest and biggest chinchilla in the bunch . Its not meant to bash ya , we all get excited about buying new stuff. I promise you about 80% of people on here do the same thing . Its more exciting and rewarding when you're successful then saying well that one died i'm not going to try that one again. For the size and pricing nowadays its not "bad" but like others mentioned its a very fast grower so its just the idea of paying for a larger one that throws people off.

The problem with acquiring larger corals is they don't transition very well. They don't ship well and they don't acclimate well to new environments. Frags ship and adapt much easier. Colonies have been stable in their tank environments for long periods and when you move them to a new environment often they don't acclimate and STN or RTN starts. Not always but more often then not.

You are right only the first 2 are bird’s nest’s that other one is just some cheap Acro honestly, not colorful i don’t even think it has polyps
