I am a long time fan of the BRS Investigates and tank trials series and I really feel like Ryan and the team and BRS accelerated the development of the great gear we have access to today. I was stoked on a few of the tank designs when Ryan unveiled the 52S2 series....but then as we know he disappeared and the rest of the BRS team let the whole thing go dark.
With Ryan's reappearance and the announcement of Serious Reefs it seems like Ryan is done with BRS video production and BRS seems to be going back to the Marine Depot format of gear driven review and instructions. Sad that they dropped the thing that made them the biggest player in the market. Maybe the juice wasn't worth the squeeze?
Has anyone done a tour at BRS over the last year or does anyone know if the project tanks such as the 360 and the 52S2 tanks are still up and they are stockpiling videos, or do we think that era at BRS is done? Also, New Wave Aquaria started that series after they took over the BRS 160 and then Jen and that team went silent. Anyone know what happened there?
