Hi, I have 2 clownfish. I have had them for about a 2 or 3 years.

One of them has become very aggressive recently with in the last month. I often hear as if one pops out of the tank every once in a while. The tank water is low so they haven’t got out out but I am worried about it.

I got then both when they were little. The less aggressive one was a bit older. Anyways they are about the same size now. So the aggressive/younger one attacks the other. The attacker fish submits and so does the other fish.

Not sure what is happening and why it started to happen all the sudden after they have been together for so long. I’m not sure what to do, if I should bring one back to the store or something. I’ve just had them for so long. I feel bad!

PIcs? What type/size? Often when this happens something changed in the tank upsetting their dynamics or one is becoming the female and showing dominance.

Unless one fish's fins are torn, that fish is hanging out or hiding in the corner at the surface, or breathing heavily I would not intervene.
Change up the scape a tad.
Clowns are goings to occasionally challenge one another, it's normal. One clown forgot their ranking in the hierarchy.
