I haven't grown any corals yet, but my first strategy would be to do some researching on the corals.

I am doing as much research as I can on different corals and their needs. I think the best strategy is to make sure you test your parameters and don't make any drastic changes. Every move should be slow and steady. If your corals are looking happy, don't do anything at all. No chasing numbers.

I would make sure the more aggressive corals have plenty of space and maybe put them on their own island.

Single best thing I’ve done is level all my parameters out so there is no swing. Going on 5+ years with Alk staying between 8.2 - 8.6

Trace Elements, magnesium, alkalinity, phosphates, pH, lighting, flow, nitrates... It seems like when the corals are happy, they get more PE.
