Official Entry-I just got back into the hobby after a long hiatus, but I think embracing some new tech is a huge thing coming from a 1st gen MH/T12 DIY combo to LEDs with digital ramp up and timers. The 2nd is to let the tank settle and quit trying to micro adjust it for the 1st year.

Try to limit the corals that like to fight using chemicals (softies) and run carbon or polyfilter if things don't look right.

I try to give ample space. If I know a coral is really aggressive, I will put it on its own rock sway from everything else

I know nothing about increasing coral polyp extension yet. I am assuming good light and stable water parameters help and make them happy.
