Nice work for a phone, what phone you own?
Missed you at the swap yesterday.
It's a Samsung Galaxy A14. Now that Dave is retired he needed his own phone, so we switched our service and our phones. This is a nicer phone than I have had in the past and I saw that I could take macro pics, so I tinkered with it. I expect that I will play with it even more.
Sorry I missed you. I did not see Ted either and was hoping to say 'hi' to both of you. I did get to say hello to Jaime at least. With it being so dark in there it's hard to see anything except fluorescent coral, LOL.

I am tinkering with my phone camera today since I cleaned my glass yesterday, thus making the tank photo worthy, LOL. Let me know what you think. I will start with my paly collection.

Thanks, I took the large green paly on the macro setting. It works well if the subject is very close. If the coral is farther back in the tank I found that there is a food setting where it will take a square in the middle of the screen, make it real crisp but everything outside of the square is blurred. The last 2 photos of the fish were taken in that setting. Anyway, for a relatively inexpensive camera phone, these are the best pics I have ever taken.

Morning Dawn
In next few weeks I will be setting up fuge and wanted to give you a heads up in case you are thinking of pruning soon.

That sounds fine Kevin, I did a pruning just a week ago but it's unbelievable how quickly it regrows so I am sure that I can give you whatever macroalgae you might want. I always keep some in my fuge as well but it's not as nice.

Hi Kevin, the ulva is recovered and ready to prune again. I could also get you some cheato, and codium in the greens. I have flourishing red grape caulerpa and I always have hayi halimeda in the red macroalgae. Just give me a call and we will arrange a time to do that.

Dawn I just got half the system filled, will cycle when other half is filled soon. then I can add some macro.
I figure 1st macro added will struggle somewhat, just have to see.

OK, when I prune I will put everything in my fuge. They don't stay as nice in there but they survive. Probably the macros in my display will be ready again for a pruning after your system cycles. It seems like I am pruning about once a month. That way if your first macros languish a bit I can always get you more.

Last night when I fed my fish I got a big/SMALL surprise! I thought I only had 2 masked gobies for over the past year but last night I saw a third goby. It was in the coco worm tube that Barney used to hang out in. This tank is full with lots of hiding places but it still caught me off guard, in a nice way.

Hi Kevin,
Next week works fine if you don't mind that our SC grandkids are visiting. Also I may not have much ulva,( since I recently pruned) but I have a little cheato, I have codium and I have lots of red grape caulerpa and tons of red titan (halimeda hayi). I should have lots of ulva in several weeks.

Hi Kevin, This Monday the grandkids will be home or heading home, plus the ulva will be able to be pruned, (along with other macroalgae). Let me know and we can get you some when you are ready.
