Yep! Which is why I'm not too worried about keeping at 11 or 12 when I'm up and running. I've already had a successful tank running higher.

Think back in the day I ran 12 and It was successful too
Tested a lot less aswel , minimal wcs
I’ll dig out a pic if I can

This is 15 years ago hense the quality of the pic but 90 % acro
Check out the shortcake , honestly can’t remember how I did it but now I’m completely paranoid haha

I’m confused, I don’t have acro on the sand in this tank.

However…

I could grow them in the sand all day long. And up top but I had to acclimate to get them higher

Looking back I do see white tips on my birdsnest - possibly from my high alk and lower nitrate

maybe you thought the large plating sandbed coral is an monti?

It’s a lakers scroll coral. With a blasto on it lol grew this from a tiny .75” frag and now it’s 8”
