Wow I thought I was actually watching this in her show it was so accurateNo way she’s scary as heck and I’d lose
So “vintage reefer” the defendant says you gave him the par meter?
-I loaned it to him
“So you gave it to him?!”
- I guess you could say that
“And did you ask for money for it?”
-well no but
“And did you two agree on a set date for its return?”
- well no but we agreed it would be returned
“Defendent hasn’t broken terms of the agreement which has no set end date. Get out of my court!”
Forgot the part where she shhhs' you and tells you to stop talking...No way she’s scary as heck and I’d lose

It’s about principle not money. I am not here to get money from anyone but I do appreciate the community support!we should start a "go fund me" to help @VintageReefer get a par meter..
how's in?
I was thinking kind of the same except that maybe the meter borrower is in need of some assistance putting a life back together.we should start a "go fund me" to help @VintageReefer get a par meter..

oh 100% feel the same. It makes so made when ppl do things like this. makes those of us that have a big heart and see the best in people get taken for a ride. It’s about principle not money. I am not here to get money from anyone but I do appreciate the community support!
This is about principles and doing the right thing
I had a leak in a water pipe this morning that I had to climb in the attic and sweat pipe to fix. I almost called a plumber because I am so old and had to look for an hour to find where i had misplaced my map gas torch. Took most of the day and I'm feeling pretty good that I had the pipe and fittings and solder and rosin and stuff to be able to fix it myself. The leak wasn't too bad and I think I will be able to get by without having to replace drywall.A member says this is a small town and he has driven by a few times and not seen cars in the driveway nor people outside at any point to talk to
Maybe a lot of things happened - storms nearby in that time frame - family all that mess happens. Try and keep the faith - something good will comeback to you.It doesn’t make sense to me either. 3 months of convo and two sales with no complaints or issues, getting to know each other talking tanks and family and work, and then boom. Complete 180 and he’s mia
Maybe tank crashed?
Maybe he broke it accidentally and doesn’t know how to tell me?
Something else ?
Yeahhh next time if you loan try doing a deposit say I’ll lend this to you. Send me $250. I’ll give the $250 back once the meter is back with me.I hope you get the meter back. In the future, I’d get a signed agreement with a driver’s license number. That can be done electronically as well. They may feel that you gave them the meter if they didn’t ask for it, but it was included in a shipment. But that’s speculation, hopefully it all works out.
As far as asking others to go to their house, you are asking for a lot of personal liability if something goes wrong, imo. I would personally either call the police in their area, or let it go as a lesson learned.
I said this like on page one or something.....the amount of people on thsi thread each donating $10.00, OP could have bought a new one and a six pack Beer....LOLwe should start a "go fund me" to help @VintageReefer get a par meter..
