I can manually raise potassium. I don’t think it’s even that bad.

I want to test a few times and see what the trend is for my tank before making any changes

Salifert has the most accurate potassium test kit I've found. Brightwells potassion is cheap and will last a long time. You could use some flouride as well. Iodine takes a while to come down so.back off of that but 240 shouldn't hurt anything in the meantime.

This one that looks from the 60’s?

Sounds appropriate to me. Demand may be quite low if you have gone water changeless for a long time and it is not dropped a lot.

Ok so game plan is test potassium a few times and see a pattern. I can make a correction dose. Test few more times and see how stable it is. I suspect low demand also and this will become a monthly test

Increase manganese from 4ml daily to 9ml daily

I now have cheatgro, but see that contains potassium and nickel and my nickel is already high so I might skip using this and look into iron some other way

Change our chemipure elite packs early

Add some toothpaste for fluoride :)

4ml to 9ml or .4ml to .9ml? I add 3ml a day and that's a lot...

Whoops

Increase from .4 to .9 ml/day

It was correct in my head

I don’t really know what I need but .4ml/day isn’t cutting it.

Moonshiners said base amount of .3ml a day, I used .4 for 1.5 months to see if it would be detectable. It wasn’t.

After full icp I was able to use the moonshiners spreadsheet and that says .3ml a day. Add .3 if you have macro. Check. Add .3 for large amount of coral. I would consider mommy tank fairly packed, and I have 20 Goni which love manganese. So I’ll give a check here also and compute my new estimate as .9ml a day. Which may still be too low. But I’ll stay on this course and do another icp and see where I’m at after making various corrections and adjustments from this thread

I have my alk stable and don’t need anything else adding alk
Are you adding "alk" or "kalk"? I assume alk because you mentioned fusion.. kalk will supply everything, but alk alone is not a long term plan. You will need to do something about calcium/ trace if you stopped the all for reef.

Also...the ati icp won't read things below 1 on the trace (i don't think). The oceamo ms or fauna marin one will though. So for accurate trace under 1...

In the end...the tank looks good but some of these higher numbers may cause problems eventually.....may not?

Might make next icp a higher sensitivity one

As for higher numbers - that’s somewhat a concern - and where are they coming from if I’m not adding water? I’m wondering if I can bring them down with more frequent changing of chemipure elite. Will carbon and gfo absorb any of this stuff? I can also try that fleecy stuff that absorbs metals.

Gac will absorb some of the traces but not positive on which. I think iron is one. But..thr aluminum is up there and the nickel is sky high. The ins and outs are for greater minds than mine

I changed out chemipure elite

I’ve increased manganese to .9ml daily. Call me crazy but I feel certain Goni are extending more than usual

I did start cheatgro - bottle says 4 capfuls for 80g volume twice a week. I’ve added twice. Each time I dosed 2 capful direct into my algae scrubber and 2 capful in front of a mp40

Here’s the items contained in it and their sources

I got the salifert potassium test kit. Color shift started at 400 and ended at 390

I never know if I’m supposed to go by the start of the shift or the end of the shift. But regardless, we can say potassium is 390-400. Icp said 366.9. So I don’t know who to trust.

I did buy this, need to figure it out. Haven’t taken out of the box yet

I’d just use potassium chloride from Now Foods, but that product is likely fine.
