NEED HELP! Clown died yesterday and now the second one has white dots and looks paler.

Hey, I had a clownfish die yesterday and had it ID and most said that most likely the other one killed it but now the second one has marks and spots. Is it maybe ich? Treatments?

Clownfish are normally pretty tough. I would place it in a bucket or small tank using your tanks water. I would then start to add RO water to go hyposaline. I would aim to reduce the salinity by .01 every day until you reach about 1.014.

This is not an air stone issue but rather Brooklynella with secondary bacterial lesions present.
Often, mucus generally starts at the facial area as well as gills and spreads across the body producing lesions as it progresses often confused with ich and can turn into secondary bacteria. Other symptoms will be lethargic behavior, refusing to eat and heavy breathing from the mucus.
Start with a prolonged 60 minute bath of ruby rally pro then at a lower concentration in a quarantine tank. The longer the fish are exposed to the treatment, the more effective it will be at eliminating this issue.
Since a formalin solution is often not available for use, temporary relief can be achieved by giving the fish a FW bath or dip in water same temperature as display tank. Even though this treatment will not cure the disease, it can help to remove some of the parasites, as well as reduce the amount of mucus in the gills to assist with respiration problems.
Treatment is best done in a QT tank using either quick cure (more effective but now harder to find) or Ruby Rally Pro. Ruby takes a little longer and initial treatment generally takes 2-3 days to really start going to work.
With the advanced stage of this- I recommend immediate quarantine of all inhabitants and leaving display without fish for 4-6 weeks.

Youre treating in separate tank, and the goby can remain in the display tank but keep an eye on it. If youre treating in the display- all can remain

Where would it come from though? I had clowns with brook a while ago and i’m pretty sure you remember because you helped me with it. I got my fire fish 1 week after so I don’t think it’s that because all have been fine for a few weeks. the only thing I added was a coral but that was about 1 week ago

I agree with Exo, but suggest in the meantime, place it in a bucket or tank with an air stone and heater if needed and go hyposaline. This will reduce the stress on the fish and saturate the water with oxygen as best an air stone can.

I am not home right now and will get home around 3 pm cst, would it be too late by then? I can do FW dip then and then go and see if LFS has ruby rally and go do that.

Will it be too late..... cant speak for the fish and will be based on severity of disease

Still don’t know how it happened, they were fine before I have had them for at least 2 weeks
