Obviously it’s intriguing. But I’m one of those skeptics. I can trust but I will verify first, if there’s actual backing with it and actually made/works, then consider me sold, but can’t agree to being a lab rat on the forefront of a product that I’m sure many other companies are after as their holy grail.

Why not make this and sell it for 3/4k a pop, reagents are gone. Huge profit, and let’s say they survive an average 2-5 years? $$$$$$.

That said. Heck yea. Get your folks on that.

So my Mag test showed up today. 1250. Definitely low! I’m going to get some Bionic Mag and start dosing up to 1450. My stuff all looks great but hoping this helps with growth alongside the been reef.

- no payment needed until device is fully functional and ready

- target prices is
- $500 phosphate only
- $400 all items in list except phosphate
- $800 all items including phosphate
- $30 each - dosing pumps / software for compounds that can be dosed

They want me to commit to buy the first one and they will build it out of pocket if I agree to buy for $800 if it is completed and functional and works. no cost to me if the device fails or is never completed

I guess I’ll break the news here also. I have a wholesaler whose owner has become a friend of mine over the years, I have given them some tips / suggestions to expand their business, some of them they have taken and actually been successfully with. At least 50% of my tank coral is from them.

They have extremely healthy corals and great photos so naturally I inquired about their lighting. At first they did not give much detail but recently they have told me that they have been making diy led fixtures for many years, and they latest version they have over 20 tanks in their coral warehouse and are very happy with the results. They have taken the fixture to frag shows and customers have come up and asked how their coral looks so vibrant, they say there is no secret, it’s just the light. This is in comparison to all the other booths running radions

A single light covers 24x24 at half the cost of a radion and capable of double the par. I suspect their is some strong use of uv and near uv spectrum thrown in.

I will be getting two of these lights to replace my photon 48 and I will be testing them out over my 75g display tank and providing feedback. The only hold up currently is they do not have a tank mount, only hanging and rimless, and I have a frame.

A custom mount is being looked into for me. If needed I will diy an extruded aluminum stand that can rest on my frame and the lights can hang from it.

VintageReefer is actively in communication / planning with two companies on the forefront of reefing tech and I am willing to invest the money and to take the risks to bring products to market that are both better, and cheaper, than what’s available today. We. Deserve. Better.

I will say this also. My reviews will be unbiased and I am paying for these devices out of pocket. I am offered a small discount on both for being an early tester but not huge.

I’m highly interested in both. The light is ready to go and I have seen photos of the light itself and corals grown/lit by it. Just need the logistics of a mount worked out

Regarding the tester…I came up with an idea. I have no idea what the capabilities or limitations are of these photo sensors…so I have asked if it’s possible to add….Manganese and Iron

If the market could get reliable automatic home testers for these things…it truly would be revolutionary
