Nobody else is brave enough to show their early tanks?! :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing: Come on!
Early tanks for me means 1992. Nothing to do with bravery, or lack thereof; rather cannot really be bothered to dig through boxes for physical pictures.

I also suspect, if I did go digging, that there aren’t many old pictures - wasn’t very good at documenting stuff. Plus I tended to skew planted tanks back then.

Have some somewhere out in the garage

"Buy the biggest tank you can afford", they said

Had a Sea Apple in it, simultaneously the ugliest animal and most beautiful animal. I had no idea they did that when I got it

At least I got to experience the final years of a society without screens in everyone’s hands. I even know how to dial a rotary phone! :face-with-open-mouth::rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:
Rotary phones…. Channeling Barbra Streisand “Memories”… I grew up in Cuba and phones were not a thing. Even rotary phones. There were a few lucky ones then that had a working phone. Maybe one household out of 50 had an old rotary phone. BUT, there was a working public rotary phone outside the local market and during summers all of us kids would gather around it when we thought adults were not looking and would dial the operator with odd requests. Everyone knew what we were doing but it was either let us do that or bug the surrounding adults so I guess there’s that. Life was simpler then. Now my five year old has full conversations with Siri and taught himself to read on his iPad while his sister has figured out how to search for her favorite song so she can perform an interpretive dance. Every generation has its wonder.

This is a great looking tank! I like the gsp island. Great way to incorporate without having it become invasive. I also like the contrast of purple and green euphyllia.

Nicely done!
Thank you for the kind words!

Yep, you’re an addict! :face-with-tears-of-joy:

What you have accomplished in a short time is very impressive!! Well done!
Totally addicted. The other 3 tanks are good examples of multiple tank syndrome rearing its wallet draining head .

Thanks for the kind words. I attribute it all to bacteria and coral being much more forgiving than we give them credit for. It’s hard to capture these things in pictures particularly because it hit me one day that all of a sudden a torch that was just one head now has 11 and completely blew me away.
