Jebao SW-2

130-800 gph with a controller. This is the smallest output wave maker I’ve found that actually has controllability and wave pulse modes

Is this the hygger mini you're talking about (hygger Mini Wave Maker for 5~20 Gallon Aquarium with Magnetic Mount Quiet Powerhead for Saltwater and Freshwater Fish Tank 530GPH https://a.co/d/009n9ixL)

That's kinda nice with the magnetic base instead of suction cup. Similar flow rates to the ones I suggested.
No, it's this one:

Wow, 1600gph? That seems a bit rough for a 13.5
Lol, turn it down then put it on low frequency pulse. You end up with a very gentle back and forth flow. I I used one in this tank for about two years until my wife buseted a seam on it trying to move it around. It's a IM 14 peninsula. The one in the back right corner of this picture is a Jeabo slw-10

But what seems like a lot of flow in a young tank will be woefully inadequate one day. If your coral grows.

That's neat, didn't realize it was DC I guess. I'll keep that one in mind. I'm accustomed to one's for freshwater that are constant on and you angle at an angle at the surface.

While above posts will work, instead of buying 1600gph and dialing down to 350 ish on the lowest setting, look into the dc sw-2 which has a whole range that’s realistically usable from 130-800 gph. Seems better scaled for smaller tanks

I have this and in its lowest setting and longest pulse mode I still wish it was less powerful. I have a Waterbox 15

Maybe mines defective. The controller does go into a weird mode by itself every now and then and needs to be unplugged from reset

It was actually perfect for it, there was times I even thought it wasn’t strong enough for some of my corals lol I also had a random flow generator on my evo
I've been trying a few different wavemakers - I also put in a random flow generator - did you put a dual head one or a single one?

I am still trying to find out the best place for the wavemakers - I have one under the pump output and one opposite side of the filter water intake grate.

How is your setup?

Lots of good suggestions here. Lets talk about your algae though. “Stringy with bubbles” sounds a lot like dinoflagellates, which may require addition mitigation actions to resolve. Flow is a good start though. Do you have a photo?
Sorry I’m just now seeing this reply, I think that’s what it is. Here’s the pictures I took before I added a jebao slw-10. Now it’s just really stringy flowing in the wind but still attached to the rocks, I’ll post pictures of that in the morning. It’s also covering the sand as seen in the last couple pics. What would you suggest I do to get it out?

Here’s the current pics after having the wavemaker in there for a bit

I have nothing but nano tanks right now, and I think I've tried almost every "nano" wavemaker out there. The Jebao ELW-3m and 5m are the best controllable nano wavemakers I've found.

The 5 maxes out at 792gph (min setting is 238gph) and the 3 maxes out at 660gph (min setting is 220gph).

I was curious if you have upgraded your return setup? I don't like the stock return 2 nozzle deal on my evo 13.5. so I added 2 more and a bigger pump. Really helped keep everything suspended in the water..

Also my pistol shrimp spends most of the day digging through my sand bed down to the glass... if you want a critter to stir up your sand bed consider a pistol/goby pair... super fun to watch!

I have the same nano. I run a sicce 1.5 with a split to 2 Vivid RFG's. Directly under that I have a Jebao SOW-3 running on W2 at the second power dot. Lots of soft flow. The SOW-3 is on a timer that shuts off at night so my clowns can sleep.
