Isn't that bad for the SPS and LPS tho? Trying to go for a mixed tank.I agree that it is possible that your water is too clean. I would try to get a bit more nitrate and a touch of phosphate. I know that is sounds different then most people are used to hearing the ultra low nutrient method, but some soft corals like a bit of nutrient in the water.
I used to run my tanks using tap water with seachem conditioner. I had some algae growth. I don't do it anymore, and it's not suggested, but eh, like many things in this hobby... it can be done.
And how did that turn out? I've never heard that you could be successful using tap unless the water was conditioned prior.
He7L no!
Lol
BAHAHAI started my tanks with a hose from outside
Sweet.you tell me
you tell me
No po4 it should be around .03, plus you should push trates to a lil over 5 for softiesSo how can her water be too clean with tap water? Lol
Sweet all tap mixed with salt and nothing else?
No po3, plus you should push trates to around 10 for softies
Sorry, I had to edit that.No phosphite?
Not to hijack this thread but if you search around there is a long thread regarding keeping sps in high nutrient systems, that can be found here https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/sps-high-nutrients-myth.283442/page-3#post-3452728 LPS can like it a bit dirty too. It's all about more ways than 1 to skin a cat.Isn't that bad for the SPS and LPS tho? Trying to go for a mixed tank.
OP in my opinion has been stripping water with the WC qty being doneSo how can her water be too clean with tap water? Lol

I have 0 phosphates. Never have had any. Was able to get nitrates to almost 5 ppm only by doing a whole lot of feeding for a while. But now I have some algae starting to spring up... Rocks were white for the first four or five months (started with dry).No phosphite?
Haven't been over doing it on the WC tho... Maybe three or four times so far. 25-30 gallons each time.OP in my opinion has been stripping water with the WC qty being done
