Did the bleach method for 3 weeks, have hair algae and cyano and still have dino!!! ***

They may be, but it is a protozoan cell...if it's not in your tank at all it shouldn't come back unless introduced....they don't just come out of thin air

May need to confirm its the right grade bleach and dosing amount.

Can help to go bare bottom if you have a sandbed.

What bleach did you guys net out on? It was 1ml per 10 gallon right? A clean summary would be great given this long thread. My head is spinning. Thanks!!!

All bleach is different. . I used clorox. . Think it is 7.89% ..in my 46gallon ..I use 1.5ml twice daily for 3 days.. but it work's out to .003% a gallon is what you are shooting for. the formula is in the thread 500 times and I still cant remember what it is.. lol

Yes not nesecerrily the dosage amount per day ( though that is factor ) it's the concentration and active ingredients that count.

Oh and I never used bleach myself but would do so in future.

I still think this should be used in frag dips! If like to see some research to see how safe. Ironically people used to bleach corals. But that was to whiten the skeleton before adding to the tank......

At what temp do you guys run your systems? I'm reading that dinos thrive between 75-83F degrees. I'm currently at 77.5F. Anyone think a drop to 74F would do any good for dinos and/or would it damage coral/fish?
