The $450 import duties sure take the shine off the excitement of recieving the unit.
Mine was $100 less. But unfortunately there isn’t much you can do. Import is due because the unit is over 700. They did warn me import would be due at least.

Thanks mate. I am not in US so I dont understand about the import duties. But it's really high for $1.3k unit. I though it might have to be like $2-3k to have that $450. I think for Aus market, it will land around 2-2.5k aud.

Mine was a bit higher, probably because I added 4 sets of reagent to the order?

I don't get the reagent bottle sizes and number of test available some of the bottles are only 25% full.

One thing that is very very cool is that you can control dose to a target # for ALK, CAL,MG, NO3 and PO4 from the unit which I think sets it apart from everyone else.

Proprietary reagents are a non starter for me. I’ll stick to trident with abc reagents. Not to mention that automated Nitrate and phosphate testing is overkill.

Your opinion, but I don't agree automated testing of Nitrate and PO4 is great, as for proprietary reagents , Neptune had that for quite a while before ABC I personally find the Trident and average to poor piece of equipment, but to each their own.

Iron has been added as a test all we need is a reagent ( email sent to see when it will be available), this is an additional test not an either-or with one of the other tests.

This thing just made my Reefbot Lab decision for me. It's a no brainer.

1200 bucks and they can't even give up the happy meal it came with? Shhh....

Hi @Jonty have you had a chance to compare its performance to some test kits or an ICP yet?

Looking forward to when this hits the UK market; Kamoer gets rebranded by D-D Aquariums over here.

I calibrated it to my Hanna testers, and it’s stayed spot on, well until that last update lol. The update does say it may require recalibration tho.
