All the aggressive fish save them for last, I know some times it's hard because reefers are tempted to buy a fish that's finally in stock at your LFS but the smart thing is to wait. I don't know what size your new tank is but if it's in the 75-100+ I'd do a trigger like a niger. Again assuming the tank is large, a tang, fox face, lion fish, non-reef safe wrasses like a banana wrasse.

My work is my lfs [emoji14] but I have only been doing marine for 6 months, so still getting my head around certain families of fish compatabilities. It's a 4x2x2 tank.

Yes, because even though it doesn't always happen, I have had eels go after a new fish the first night in a tank.

Banded frogfish is the common name. I think in the states you guys call them toadfish maybe?

Yeah, we call them toadfish here. I haven't kept that particular species, but I have kept other toadfish. They are very hardy. As long as tankmates are large enough not to be swallowed they are a good choice.

Do they try and break up things too big to eat? They look pretty nasty in personality [emoji14] I found a roughly 8" one and it's the first one I have ever seen in aus, and they are saving it for me :3

They swallow things whole. Their teeth are just for holding prey in place while swallowing.

So basic angler/scorpionfish deal, neat. Any suggested tank mate families? This spevies grows to 28cm
