I must apologize for all the photos which I'm sure all look the same to everyone but me... but I'm just so enchanted watching them play together that I can't help myself! It's DEFIANTLY added an entirely new dimension to my tiny reef.

Of course!!! I'll try to shoot them doing something interesting... I'm working with them on their acting abilities so that I can host Seahorse Theater In The Reef... but Hannibal has this "thing" about improvising and it not being a "productive part of his process". Whatever. Seahorses can be so high maintenance.
Lol but yeah I'll post some video

Lol funny I had the same thought. When I approached the tank with my iPhone she looked away from the Xenia to me watched me for a moment then went back to the Xenia. I imagined her saying "seriously?! Dude, have you seen these things?!"

How fun! :D
Haha...perhaps the xenia's a little like a lava lamp for seahorses.

I'm so glad others like them like I do!! Thank you!!

You really said sorry for the pics lol. This is an awesome thread. Thank you for keeping us updated

I did it for awhile... the tank was just so sad and I couldn't keep it clean. I felt sorry for them every time I looked in their. I was either gonna do the reef or find them a new home. I'm soooo happy it's working out. Obviously it's been only a few days, hardly long enough to draw and real conclusions, but thus far all my main concerns have flown out the proverbial window. Fingers crossed!! They really have added to the tank in a big way.

Lol. n.n
I really like seahorses, but I really don't want to do a species tank. I'd get bored.

It may be helpful that they had a chance to get fat and healthy in the species tank first, and learn to eat the mysis.

Okay... I did the best I could to make a compelling video. I failed. Instead I present you with this... be sure to watch the diamond goby. Seems he has severe stage fright and totally forgot all his lines!

I feel I should keeping saying that its still way too early. I'm reminding myself everyday that this is an ongoing "experiment". I have this feeling that the moment I get complacent is the moment it bites me... but thus far I'm loving it.

I just don't want somebody else to try this only to have things bad and say "but some guy on R2R said it was no big deal"

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
