Is that a scottorum in the mix I see?

Wonder where the flame came from and how old he is as this species isn’t coming out of Hawaii for a while.

One of the locals just sold all these to my buddy…the flame is super healthy and been around awhile.. I saw it for sale for a grand… if I had the extra coin I would have snagged it! There’s a ton of high end wrasses in them boxes..

We have a couple high end clown breeders locally and these came from one of theirs personal collection..

For me, it would be a pink streaked wrasse. For the past 2 years, i only saw 2 shipments that comes with a pink streaked wrasse.
This year was better, saw twice but some of the lfs doesn't list them out, so have to check yourself out at store.

i like the Hawaiian flame when is the ban getting lifted?
The ban will eventually be lifted to 8 species however none of those 8 are Cirrhilabrus jordani, I believe the only wrasse on the list is the Coris gaimard.

No idea and maybe never. Majority of the people who live in Hawaii are against the ban being lifted. Also the flame isn't on an approved revised list.

Fish can still be collected for aquaculture facilities for captive breeding but wrasses are a unique challenge for breeding since females turn male. I don't think most places are really working to bring wrasses to market.

I believe you can still fly to Hawaii and collect fish yourself, the hardest part (after catching them) is getting it back to the states because the airlines don't seem to know the regulations and sometimes say no to legal stuff.

A close relative to the flame wrasse is the Magma wrasse and I have seen it come through the chain sometimes. This would fit under a 'rare' wrasse.
