Yes. Yes it is.

Please check that chart for me I'm pretty sure that's what is says.

Hey, last time I had a tank was before LEDs were much good! I have a 165w chinese unit over my 25g nano. No idea what PAR values it has...

Specs say that the blue is 1860 at 12".

You got the 50?
Check the chart in the link you used under specs. There's one for the 150 and the 50
The 50 claims only 1700 par
It's a small cannon
I've never seen PAR info from kessil.
The 50 is still a cannon nonetheless though. It has 411 PAR at 24"... Whoa. @Jofiel , you just brought a tank to a knife fight. I wouldn't use that thing on a shallow tank unless you wanted to microwave your corals...

I was totally planning on a cube but then got sucked into the idea of a shallow reef (hate getting wet above the elbows when doing maintenance)! May have to revisit the cube idea...

Whispers (I don't really like acros)

Oh, and she*

Ok, fess up, who bought the white one?

Oops, so too much for the softy nano I was working towards lol!
You will just have to hang it high. Thanks for the link, I just picked one of the 50watt ones off of Amazon. I'll put my par meter under it and give you some numbers.

Sweet! I'm glad someone grabbed it. It seems like a great deal. What are you intending to use it over?

That would be cool. I've not been impress w jbj overall. Only 2 lights but. When you consider I first started with odyssey powere compacts I think that says something.

Acrodind to some good reasercers. They haven't found the photoinhibition point of clams. Some come from the shallowest waters.
Great point Salty! That would be a fun experiment, essentially testing photoinhibition in clams. Problem is there are so many other variables. Once a person could keep all other variables constant, and just use light for the hypothesis, it would be cool. Of necessity one would also have to have a clam of the same type at every different level of the tank with known PAR levels, but it could be done by someone smarter than me. :D
