I have a theory, I theorize that those with the most growth early on are using halides and/or t5’s. I wonder if these frags were from Adam’s halide and t5 tank as well? But even in that case, the coral will eventually adapt to led and start to grow out. Maybe I’m wrong on my theory too?

I’d imagine but seeing pics in all 3 contest and a fourth on humble I’m not so sure! My Efflo hasn’t done anything and one guy under LED’s is growing like crazy! I don’t know what 100 gal reefer is using but it looks like he’s in the lead here! My Houdini is growing decently under halides but I’m far from leading this contest! Now the other one I’m like neck and neck with a led user vs my halides… it’s interesting to say the least!

Sitting in t5 for me just don’t think I put it in a great spot regarding par or flow but it’s easy to view..

I'm running halides, t5s, and supplementing early and late with led. I'm sure placement is copacetic as all the other frags surrounding " some from Adam some from others" have tripled in size. My theory is that some frags will grow quicker depending upon where they were cut off the mother. Different sections will obviously be in different stages of nutrient consumption and overall health. I'm sure if Adam cut 20 frags and lined them up a lot of them would display a different overall pattern and rate. Personally I think it's kind of a crapshoot from the get go.

In no way am I trying to take away from some of the fantastic work displayed or be a sore loser I'm just of the opinion that not all cuts are created equal. Thanks to everyone for putting this together. It's been fun if nothing else and I look forward to the next one.
