Nice! I would love to see what one fixture covers and the par distribution in a 3x3 area?
Probably won't happen unless some other vendor does it. Too much cost for a hobbiest to do it.I really hope one of the other YouTube channels picks up the PAR testing like this in the style that BRS does. If Ryan doesn’t get back to making videos for YouTube we are at a loss for this sort of data
Luca has all this data in a 4'x4' box he did during all his development of the fixtures.Nice! I would love to see what one fixture covers and the par distribution in a 3x3 area?

As soon as he gets out of the weeds, the data will be on his website. Give him time, he is overwhelmed
Yeah, I figured he was going to be overwhelmed with emails and DM’s as soon as he released those clips. What’s funny is, I was looking at these reflectors (but smaller) to mod my Kessil’s a few years ago and thought how they could really do something with LEDs, but I couldn’t find something that would fit. Having been a halide user for decades, I felt that LED manufacturers were missing something and not considering the technology that created the gold standard of lighting and not utilizing reflectors. I get the physics of strike back doesn’t really apply with diodes, but at least one person was willing to do the work. Thankfully we have hobbyists like Luca and Daniel forging the way forward. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!Luca has all this data in a 4'x4' box he did during all his development of the fixtures.

740 Quad Core led's per fixture !!!!!
They are single Diode with 720 of them in each light. Are they quad core? I thought the bars were but I didn't think these fixtures were.
2 or 3 would do it.How many of these would you recommend for an 84” x 36” acro dominant display?
I'm gonna try to get Luca to Chime in on this ..... I don't want to answer incorrectly. How many of these would you recommend for an 84” x 36” acro dominant display?
That’s what I was hoping to hear. I don’t have that tank yet but it’s my next upgrade and if I can light it for just above the cost of one single radion I’m super happy. The way I look at it, I’d need to add supplemental bars no matter which main fixture I go with2 or 3 would do it.
At $500 each, cheap to light it. May need bars at the ends, depends on your goals.
Still…. 4 Atlas + 4 (6 foot) bars would be a heck of a lot of light for a fraction of the cost of going with radions/bladesI'm gonna try to get Luca to Chime in on this ..... I don't want to answer incorrectly.
On my 72" x 48" I am running 3 Atlas and will add 2 new Helix bars on the sides.
On a 36" wide by 84" long I would guess Luca would say 4 Atlas. But I will get him to chime in
@JeffB418 is correct. The Atlas does not have quad-core diodes.Yes the Atlas are Quad Core
I am sorry I did answer that incorrectly. The Atlas lights are single Diode, with 720 of them. Are they quad core? I thought the bars were but I didn't think these fixtures were.
Looks like you've done that beforeBack & 2 Sides set, I always stop at this point so I can get inside the tank and clean all the seam joints with a razor blade. I will wait till tomorrow to do the seam clean, that way everything is set, and not tacky. Very easy to clean up with this process.
I'm sure 10 people will say this is incorrect, but been using this technic for 20 years building glass tanks.
Left Side and back get set first.
Now right side gets set
now will let dry until tomorrow then climb in and clean up excess caulk after pressure tooling the seams.
