I’ll give 100 dollaroos
Im being serious :( someone local is interested and I dont want to be insulting or unrealistic. I cant fathom it being a $50/head torch as i paid more directly from SBB with a strong discount to boot. Im genuinely around $200/head at 4 heads.

That looks ginonormous. And gorgeous.
Had problems with it trying to survive in the intense light of my Acro dominate tank. It’s really shaded now that the Acro’s have grown and blocked the light it was getting. Getting big now.

I have an extremely similar piece but labeled as a goniastrea. I also have steves piece labeled as a jf sector 001 favites. The favites is a favites but is your piece a favia or a goniastrea?

My feelings on selling are this: I don't have to sell anything. If I do then your getting it for less than what it would cost you to buy it. If you don't even want to give me that price...then what are we even talking about it for. Then there's the ones I don't want to sell....buuuttttt....for the right price

Oh if it’s someone else’s money and not mine ….

Ok kidding aside. As an owner of a banana HG that’s pinching and has nearly 7 heads. I would say yours is not a banana hg so minus a few bucks there. But it does look like it’s a Hg and those still are big bucks. And you have more heads both formed and forming than mine so we add some bucks there. Let’s put it this way. I wouldn’t sell mine for less than 800. And I would say the same for yours.

HG goes for 400 - 500 a head from vendors. Selling person to person has a discount built in. If yours is 4 heads turning into 11….

I would phrase it like this. The going rate for HG is 400 a head. This is 4 heads so that’s 1600. Plus many of the heads are close to splitting and we have 11 forming. It’s a high value colony. Asking price is 1000 and see how they take it and be flexible to come down to 800 if negotiating

Picked it up at WWC a couple of years ago. I was told it was a Tyree War Favite.

Honestly what you should do is just feed it and wait a few months for all the heads to split then:

1) make a 3-4 head mini colony to keep

2) make 7-8 single head frags and put them on plugs

and throw them in the for sale section for 250$ each + sh and undercut the competition. You’ll sell them FAST at that price. 8x250 = $2000 and any sh charges you pass on to the buyer

Agree on all fronts. Shane calls it a goldilocks, as far as i can tell its grail with whitish greenish tips, which is the defintion of a quality grade A master torch. Im not afraid to frag it, but at the same time im not opposed to moving some inventory to take new stock in and grow out.

We have alot of garage reefers with access to wholesale down here. So theres alot of maris moving in, not being adequately quarantined, dipped, cured and colored. Where it hurts most is torches. People either cant tell the difference between high ends, or think they should see wholesale pricing on retail quality pieces.

The other end is we have TSA, WWC, and even some decent sized garage farms asking over top dollar, and for some reason getting it. My aim is to eventually build and sell healthy coral at mid range prices and maintain a quality reputation. Some of this $500 half inch frag stuff is going to price people out of the hobby.
