So they do sting? There were some strings on my Bower and when I basted them off, there were some white marks that looked like stings.
Well, I have a theory about that. So, every tank has dinos in it. It's there whether you like it or not and there's no way to keep it out. It's also the algae that zooxanthella have a symbiotic relationship with, which produces 95%+ of their food. So, I dunno. Seems like dino might be having a little battle with the dino in your corals. I think it has some "sting" or something or another going on. I'm not sure of the research around it, if there is any, but I have found that dino is harmful to corals in a way that other algae and bacteria aren't. Years ago, the method I used to get rid of dino was to introduce cyano from someone else's tank. Cyano out-competes it for real estate very well, is easy to get rid of, and doesn't harm corals the same way.

I dunno, just a thought I've had for a little while. Probably avocado logic on my part, but I'd be interested to learn what's happening on a cellular level between dino and corals/their dinos.

Cyano is already in your tank like dinos.

The floss is key though. Put it on a nori clip and blow everything off and clean floss twice a day
I use Polyfil in place of filter socks. I think I have some of the IOAOI filter floss though. I'll add some.

@TCK Corals . If a $1 post and no one grab it , I think anybody who check out from site should be able to get it even if they already have $1 as long as the $29 is met
The way we have it setup right now is the way we've always had them for these events - it to keep it as fair as possible so everyone has a chance to try and get one. We try to offer a good mix of $ frags for all hobbyists, from beginners who are just starting with corals all the way to SPS collectors.
