never be over

I would have to agree with Blaine Perun in the fact they add the texture and color to our underwater gardens.I think that garners a permanent status in the scheme of colorful reefs.I think the days of 100 per head PPE's are over but I will still pay 20 to 25 for things like Darth Mauls and such.:tongue1:

I do believe that all of the hype is over. There are so many different threads where people trade, sell, purshase and so on that I think if you do not already have the zoa/paly that you want, its easy to get. 2 years ago they were not so available, now people are willing to trade becasue they have out grown there tanks. I think the prices have cut back because of this but people will always want them. As all of you know, they grow at a decent speed and there are not many coral that offer such a wide range of color. The zoas/palys "encrust" the live rock and they look much better than looking at purple coraline covered algae. From my view, chalice and SPS are becoming much more in demand. SPS is not what it was a couple years ago!! There is a lot of variety available along with crazy colors and some of them grow like weeds. A couple years ago ORA was rarely heard of and now everyone wants there SPS. I know the feeling, I have a ton of SPS and ORA coral!

I'm still looking to get a frag of Armagoddon and Red Wine but seems like no one wants to sell or trade those.

I,as well, have just gotten into the zoas, ricordeas, and palys.And....in a small community,I find it hard to find ANYTHING.But I am slowly building on my little piece of the reef.I either have to drive for2-4 hours(which I have done numerous times) or do the online shopping thing.....again....have done numerous times.I am new to this thread but find you all very interesting!!And helpful.Thanks......

WOW OUCH....way outta my price range!LOL But some one will pay that per polyp, thats a fraction of the reason things are so high...and,at times you do find good things for a fraction of the cost,I need some of THOSE things ;)

Well after many votes I think we can put this to rest. I will admit that I am wrong and am happy to be wrong. There have been more and more new morphs coming out lately and this is exciting to me. I look forward to what we haven't seen yet! :D
