Hey Cheryl, thanks!

I love the microclados colony. It came from DD a month ago, so did the blue tip tenuis. Oregon tort and Pearlberry were from the recent Denver trip, LFS in south Denver.

NO3; went down to 0.00 ppm with RedSea kit
DSC_6029.jpg

Instead, PO4 went up a bit;
DSC_6030.jpg

There is cyano and brown hair algae present, its understandable, with the elevated PO4.

111ppm = 6.22 dKH
DSC_6033.jpg

Still no dosing. Barely keeping up with waterchanges.

Herea are some pics of montis in my tank;

30 gallon water changes once a week for 4 weeks. Much less food during feeding. Got the BP up and running. Been going now for over a month. Re freshed the carbon. Gravel vacuuming sand during WCS. And just got my refugium going 3 days ago. Cleaned my filter socks much better.

Did waterchange. I have been doing WC every 4~6 days, 10~15%. Getting a lot of film and brown algae. As soon as i extend the wc routine to every 7 days, it seems like the algae comes right back.. I really don't mind waterchanges. Ill keep this 4~5 days routine for now.

I don't have a lot of luck keeping fish with this setup.. One of the clown wet carpet surfing, I do have a lid, i have to make sure i don't get lazy from now on..

Sump pic in case you are interested;

Overall, I'm getting decent growth on corals, but some of the frags are "paling". Its at the bottom on the sand bed, getting around 100 PAR (i borrowed PAR meter the other day), and the system frag came from was under MH. So i really doubt that they are getting too much light. I have algae, so i don't think they are at ULNS yet.. Any insight on this?

PO4=0.02 ppm by Hanna
NO3=0.00 ppm by RedSea
Alk=6.22 dKH by Hanna
1.026 salinity
I dose AcroPower (amino acid) with routine waterchange 3~5 ml
BioDigest every 13 days

Any and every input is appreciated!

I target the Alk around where its at now. I don't want the coral to be too skinny.

pH on the other hand.. its low side. It gets as low as 7.8 during night. 8.1ish during the day. I do have the CO2 scrubber, don't know if its really taking effect or not..

Maybe you need to add a brick of marinepure to the sump. You dont have a lot of rock in there

Looking back to your reefing roots: Did you start with Instant Ocean salt?
