wow. nice! what are you hoping to put in it?
This is the first of 5 that I will build to start the grow out farm.
My 5 year plan is to be supplying north American stores and hobbyist with quality "Not Frags".
My goal is to try and offer the reefing community something larger than a 1" chop and sell quality coral.
I'm retiring soon and this will keep me supporting the hobby I have been commercially involved in for over 40 years.

Back & 2 Sides set, I always stop at this point so I can get inside the tank and clean all the seam joints with a razor blade. I will wait till tomorrow to do the seam clean, that way everything is set, and not tacky. Very easy to clean up with this process.
I'm sure 10 people will say this is incorrect, but been using this technic for 20 years building glass tanks.

Left Side and back get set first.

Now right side gets set

now will let dry until tomorrow then climb in and clean up excess caulk after pressure tooling the seams.

The plastic for the level pad was a good idea! I need to level an area in my fish room I may use that idea. Makes it easily removable when/if needed too.
Exactly, this is perfectly level, and with the plastic/cardboard first layer, 100% removable.

I used a Bosch Laser Level to set the blocks in the cement, then move the laser up each block set, then the final plywood layer ended up perfectly level within less than a 1/32nd of an inch over 6'

Don't think you can get more level than that !!!!

Wow, hands down one of the most well thought out and informative build threads out there. Following along. Are you considering any bracing?
See original post and pics.
There will be 6" full euro bracing around the top, more for work space while fragging than actual strengthening. . I learned this from Than at Tidal Gardens.
Repost of 6" Euro bracing wrapped and ready for install as the last step.

Yeah thats level!

I need to level the spot for my 180g. It on a really nice hardwood epoxy coated custom plywood stand. My other tanks all sit on 2x4 or 2x6 diy stands that I didnt mind shimming to get level. The 300g pond sits on blocks and plywood kind like yours again I wasnt worried about shims. This 180 and stand I dont think shimming is right or a good idea. But I may just skip the 180 all together and get a nice big 6x4' or close with an alum stand with leveling legs. A friend of mine has a 8x4x2' that has never been used but has been in storage for quiet a long time so will probably need resealing no stand. He pretty much just told me I could have it. I have never built or resealed a tank that big before, largest was 75g. This would require me to level the floor and move the utility sink or again get a stand capable of holding this tank with leveling legs. Decisions decisions, lol.
